My grandparents live in Alpine, right around the Devil's Tower Area. It's an alright town, great parties but there aren't a lot of kids, like teenagers. It's a lot of immigrants from Korea, Japan, Germany, Iran, Greece, and that sort of thing. A lot of retired people. Nothing to do in the town at all. It does however have a great low tax rate, bc the mortgages are so high. You definitely get your moneys worth, thats for sure. And its a great commute, as well. A lot of celebrities. My grandparents live right across the street from Lil Kim', before she moved (or evicted).
I pay less than $6k on a million dollar house, in tenafly that would be about $18,000, yet my son will graduate from tenafly high school, where our kids go after 8th grade. tenafly schools are rated in the top 5 in the state every year. any more questions, ask me!
Don't worry, because of the new school funding formula, you'll be merged into the Tenafly district soon and your taxes will be equal.
You do realize you need to pay for it separately, right? When you activate a garbage account, I'm sure they'll tell you which days you can put garbage out.
Can you comment on your experience and kids experience at the Alpine Elementary school?
Also, will you have to pay more taxes when you send your kids to Tenafly HS? Any future plans to do this, curious. Hope not.

You do realize that Alpine & Tenafly are 2 of the richest towns in US. I haven't heard anything about the citgo station closing , but then again i haven't been over there in 4 months.
