I doubt Sandy helped Obama, sure Romney lost a couple days of final campaigning but given the projections I doubt it really would have made a difference. Christie on the other hand has surged to 67% which honestly is huge. I think Cuomo and Bloomberg have also seen their numbers rise as well.

And correct on Romney. He would have been the same bad president we have now more or less. He was a statist, a collectivist, and a redistributionist. Which is what the majority of mediocrity-worshipping Americans now seem to want. Romney would have been Obama-lite. After all, he invented Romneycare, upon which Obamacare was modelled. They both are terrible, awful, miserable examples of the depths to which the American electorate has now sunk. I don't blame the politicians, I blame the people. The People Now Basically Suck philosophically. And they are getting what they ask for, and ultimately deserve.
I think most Americans would agree that it is senators and representatives with extremist rhetoric (like yours) who are hurting this nation. Not just extremist republicans, mind you, also democrats.

Mainstream is NOT necessarily good or correct. Moderate is NOT necessarily good or correct. "Widely believed" does not equal true.

The original crazies who crossed the Atlantic to found the first nation based on freedom as a core principle were absolute Extremists. I am proud to be in their company.

You consider yourself to be in the company of the first Virginians and those at Plymouth? Is that a joke? You are delusional. Stick with real estate.

For all the virtues & incredible ideas that our Founding Fathers possessed, they didn't trust the common man much. You would've been dismissed as an average peon, Marc. Sorry to burst your bubble.
