Yeah, well bradykp got us this time. Started a new gas thread and ran off to snicker in the corner at the rest of us carrying on about this same stupid subject AGAIN!
hahaha. sorry - it happened to be a busy week at work so i only checked back in the day i posted. and then today, when i had another crappy gas-station experience!
The fact that you made the effort to time it is "strange". Then took the time to post the comments here. yet a few minutes waiting for gas is excessive?
$15.00 worth? Barely squeeze the handle for that one.
Just sit back and listen to the radio. it's not a pit stop.
i thought of timing it because people here always denies that there's any wait in NJ because of this law. And i posted while waiting, so it's not like it took me extra time.
and i'm a nascar driver in my dreams, so every stop is a pit stop.
This doesn't surprise me at all. I hate that station and will never go back. The last time I was there, the attendant jammed almost $4 worth of gas into my car after the pump clicked off. I don't mind squeezing some extra in to get to an even dollar amount when the customer is paying cash, but almost $4 worth? I yelled out the window, "Whoa, whoa!!!" and he just ranted something to me in a language other than English and continued pumping. I started to get out of the car and he finally stopped. He's lucky there wasn't gasoline pouring out everywhere.
that's another reason why i dislike having attendants pump my gas. every time they pump in that extra 10-20 cents, it's money in their pocket and no gas in your tank.
I love how these gas threads always get things going! i was gonna check back this morning when i pulled into an Exxon on Central Ave in East Orange. waited a few minutes at the pump, then got out. the guy emerged from the booth, i hadn't seen him before getting out so i thought he was inside of the garage.
total time to get $12 of gas - 6 minutes.
again with the tiny amount of gas...? OK, another rental?

same car. had the rental car til this morning, was returning it and needed to top it off to 5/8. today i wasn't really in a rush, so it was no big deal. but that's twice within a week that it happened to me.
It amuses me when I see people from NJ in other states figuring how to pump gas
Its almost as funny as watching drivers (usually females) popping hoods & trunks thinking it is the gas cover button
