This is the time of year I like to think about vacation(s). Where are your favorite places to go...why...and what activities do you enjoy doing while there?

We love going to Sanibel Island in Florida every year for Easter. I could picture us (my family) on the beach in 3 weeks and not playing on the computer. LOL

I here you JerseyMan...Sanibel Island is very pretty...great place to pick shells. It's hard to imagine at the moment as it is snowing hard right now. I usually go out to Colorado every year to ski but this was the first year I wasn't able to go...but that is my favorite "winter" vacation. Snowmass/Aspen my very favorite in Colorado. Right now anywhere hot and tropical will do!

The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa - Welcome

We absolutely love this place hidden in The Blue Ridge Mts. of Asheville, NC. The original part of this historic inn has a sunset terrace filled with rocking chairs and people come in droves just for the amazing view. They also have good restaurants and an unbelievable spa and golf course.

We went once in mid to late April which was perfect for changing of the season and then back again in early Dec. It's funny how people in the south get flustered by the snow and yet we just sat on that porch to watch it fall.

If you ever go make sure you have the she crab soup. :-)

Enjoy!!!

i honestly love to go anywhere, anytime. i get a huge thrill going to places i've never been. we have 2 "mini trips" where we go to the same place every year (wildwood and upstate NY), but every year we try to go to someplace new for the "big vacation". it's great now that my kids are older and can do fun stuff and we're really not limited because of their age.

we're going to the outer banks in june (never been!) - 10 of us in a huge house, should be a great time.

I've never been to the OBX or Sanibel, but always wanted to go there; maybe this year. We always left the US to vacation. My favorite place is Bermuda. Very beautiful and relaxing.

I've been to about 30 states (Maine was one of my favorites) and a few of the Islands but my favorite memories have always been Disney related. I used to LOVE Disney but haven't been in about 10 years. I'm planning my first visit back with my 3 YO. I am very excited. Thinking about it brings out the kid in me.
