Palisades Park sold out a long time ago. Koreans ruined our cute little town. Now if you go down broad avenue, it smells of fish and garlic. I had to vomit the last time I was there. Nothing but sex/massage parlors with dirty Korean women giving happy endings to their patrons.

I have Italian-American friends in Maryland who talk, dress and act like they are red necks. They hunt, drive pick-ups and are pro-Confederacy.

It is only the Asians (e.g. orientals, indians) who do not eventually assimilate.
Europeans, Africans, South Americans... give it 2 generations maximum, post landing in the USA, that they become Americanized.
Because NJ has so many immigrants, it's easier for them to insulate themselves here.
In other states, they are exposed to our culture in an "in your face" type of way.

NJ is ethnic everything, even the ethnic white culture (Jews, Italians, East Europeans, etc) and were heavily persecuted racially in the past as the Koreans are now because many ethnic whites still cling to their heritage. White Anglo saxon Americans that some of you like to define as "American", left a long time ago. As much as people in North Jersey like to think themselves as part of the prototypical American culture, they are still in stark contrast to places elsewhere in the country, especially culturally and politically.

NJ has an image and leadership problem. Within the state, you have a skewed self-perception, but go to any other state, they hardly think of NJ as "American" as you may think.
