Yeah, we're still waiting for the Jersey Shore Italians to assimilate in NJ.
You have been watching the MTV reality show called Jersey Shore too much. Most white people that live on the shore or vacation there are Euro Mutt, not full blooded Italians.

Regardless, NJ has a massive image problem and it's politics do no good within corruption.
Referencing Rotundo's mother, and the concept of being "American" which she believes Korean Americans are not. it really is a relative matter. I would bet many NJ Italians if they traveled to Midland Texas, or Little Rock Arkansas would be seen as immigrants or tourists based on how they look and behave.
Not true.
i just asked this question on the General US forum and Italian Americans are pretty much apart of White america. Many said they would fit in with conservatives and rednecks from Texas.

Depends. I know Italians in the South who follow Nascar religiously and are totally Americanized, and they'd view NJ/Staten Island Italians as ethnic immigrants. Watch Housewives of NJ, Joe Guidice is getting deported, and many Italian men in NJ look and sound like him or Joe Gorga and they'd stick out in the South where people are very sensitive to "Northern Yankee Liberals". And every immigrant group has their definition of non-integrator. The 2nd/3rd gen East Asians refer to their own version as Fresh off the Boat and the "FOBs" are generally what you see in Pal Park/Fort Lee area as opposed to places like Alpine or Tenafly who are generally 2nd/3rd generation Asian Americans.
I live in North Carolina and with a much smaller Italian-American presence here, I am aware when I go up north of just how "Jersey Italian" the culture is in northern NJ.
