Moorestown is too expensive. In 2005, when the town ranked #1, Money had this incredibly low figure for median sales price like $320K or something which was not realistic. Now they put more emphasis on housing affordability, while the $450K median sales price is more in the ballpark it is still too low. Median sales price is about $550K-$600K. Home prices in Moorestown haven't correct a lot since the demise of the housing market.

OMG! Everyone in Cary, NC...get on the bus back to New Jersey!
The only cities that seem to consistantly hold their positions on that list, year after year, are Napierville, IL and Fort Collins, CO.

if what you say is indeed correct, how did Irvine capture #4 on the list with a median price of $650K?

I didn't say it was absolute. I said Money has decided to weigh housing affordability more since the credit crisis. For CA maybe $650K is not expensive, that's not terrible expensive in Moorestown either.

Yes- and did you see that Newark and East Orange are in the Top 10 Cities for Singles over 30? Yikes!! Thats the best the country can do? You'd be more likely to catch a bullet in those cities than a mate.

These lists are ABSURD. They really are.
Even locally they are absurd. When Chatham was #1 in NJ monthly my one relative living there was all giddy... yeah, whatever. LOL Now, Chatham is not bad, but please.
But I don't think Franklin Township is deserving of this title, I lived there briefly and I was shocked.
