Society Hill is a LARGE complex. It has 478 townhouses and 436 condos. You should be fine searching there as you should be able to find something you like.

As for the Society Hill names, Society Hill, Society Hill East, & Society Hill East II are all the same. They are named differently because of the size of the complex but they are all in the same general location which is just off of Cranbury Road.

The market is pretty down in East Brunswick. I'm under contract on a 2BR place in Society Hill that I was able to drive down the price to 215k. Its a 2 story condo so it feels like a townhouse but its called condo. Granted the place needs quite a bit of paint and a very small amount of real repair. There are deals to be had in East Brunswick in the sub $250s.

During my search I saw several small Single Family Homes pop up in that range. You'll just need to keep an eye open.

East Brunswick is pretty good. The only downside I feel it has is that there is not much to do there. It has a small mall, and a few strip malls, not much else.

Congradulation on your purchase. What was the listing price of the house that you drove down to 215K, if you don't mind I ask?

The place was originally listed around 245k but by the time I looked at it they had dropped the price around 230k$

The decoration and bathroom issues really killed the price on this place. Which is fine with me.

I am not in a position to purchase right now but would love to rent in one of those developments or even a townhouse. Does anyone know of any availability and at what price range?

Thanks

Also at $250,000, you are going to have VERY LITTLE choice in a townhome in East Brunswick. You are probably going to be in one of three complexes in that range: Crosspointe, Society Hill, or Dunhams Court. Your best bet will probably be Society Hill as there are many more units that match your critera versus the other two complexes. Keep in mind that your taxes will probably be to be at least $4000 but more like $5000.
What about Summerhill Meadows? How is it compare with Society Hill?

Summerhill Meadows is comparable but the prices are a lot higher in this complex. The units here are either 2 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms and the prices start at around $260K and go up to roughly $310K.
