is this place still around?? I remember years ago it seemed very stuck in the early 80's and we used to go there a lot as kids. I think it was on route 4?

It is still around and being updated with new stores such as Targets, Whole Foods and Lowe's. Century 21 is there now as well but personally I don't care for that store. Not sure when the "New" stores will be opening though.

I heard thy are doing a really nice makeover job on that mall. It really needed it. Especially after Sterns went out. I remember shopping Orbacks there. And I think A&S was there for a while or were they just at PP? Then that other cheap store went in there for many years.

It's still there. Now it has about 45 stores, include Target, Whole Foods, Filene's Basement,Lowe's, and Nordstrom Rack. You can find more info at Bergen Town Center, NJ, Paramus (http://www.malletin.com/mall/Bergen_Town_Center.html - broken link).

It is there and it is getting a major make-over as others mentioned but it is still not finished. Currently open storesare Saks off 5th, Marshalls, Gap outlet, Century 21, Filene's Basement, Dress Barn, Rainbow, Verizon store, A Hair and Nail Salon and a few fast food type places.
