My husband and I just bought a house in Hazlet. Does anyone have any input as far as the town goes? Or any info we should have as up-and-coming residents?
I live nearby and would like to say WELCOME!
I have been here for 3 yrs. now and love this area. Though I don't live in Hazlet, I am in one of the neighboring towns.
Let me know if you want to know something specific (good pizza, chinese, karate place for kids, gym to workout, etc.) I'll do my best.

No offense, but now you're asking questions after you bought.
Hazlet is a great town ... in a great area .. I grew up there and worked for IFF for over 25 years ... check out the parks in Holmdel (next town over ..) check out Sandy Hook (the beach!!) just 10 miles away down hwy 36 ... and Red Bank about 10 miles away down hwy 35 .. you should find everything you need in the area .. restaurants, bars, and plenty of stores like Home Depot and Lowes ... GOOD LUCK!!!
Hello! My husband and I bought a house and moved in over the summer. We really love it. I can't wait until the weather gets nicer so we can get out and explore more. So far I have found the people to be very friendly. In stores, in medical offices. We've even had good experiences with people we've had to hire to do work around the house. All of this was a nightmare where we used to live. We did get to Holmdel Park and it was great - we hope to spend a lot of time there this summer. Monmouth County Parks puts out a catalog of classes like ballroom dancing, gardening, tennis. Some meet for a day, some go for a few weeks and the price is great. If you're near the Union Beach end it's nice to take a long walk down there in the evening.
