I have an Old Long Barrel Revolver that i use for Rabbit hunting and i usually hit them on the Head with the first shot if they arent more then 20 or 30 yds away. But as far as Accuracy goes i used to shoot the small 22 L. R. boxes in air and hit them most everytime with my pistol with practice its easy. el pintada kid
I heard a 22LR can travel at least 1 1/2 miles.
songinthewind: great idea, just carry a rare t-bone and throw it at the bear, or cat. great idea! maybe something cheaper would be a pound of braunschweiger?

Feeding the Bears is not a Very good idea besides can you imagine how it would bring a Herd of Bears and Mountain Lions if you carried a Well done steak around in your pocket. You better have enough Clothes to Take off before you get to your vehicle and enough friends that you can outran. ..... By Long barrel revolver i didnt mean a Buntline gun. Its just a regular Cowboy style revolver with a Holster just like the cowboys carry in the movies. They are very Accurate and with practice you can make a hole inside that same hole at 20 yards. >>>>> But my best shooting is with a Rifle.Guns with open sight that can bring down an Elk or a Deer at 1000 yds. My favorite rifle and i still have it from when i was a Kid and it used to belong to my Grandfather is my 30 30 Winchester lever action who knows how old it is. I use to bring home a Deer every year with that rifle. el pintada kid
When I was in alaska, I had a ruger .357 blackhawk, and could hit a pepsi can floating on a river at 50 yards free handed, no bench rest. also had a ruger m77 30.06 and could hit a 9" paper plate at 150 yards bench resting. we should pair up in albuquerque with 6 guns and fight crime.no, I haven't had any koolaid today at all.

If you're that hungry, I saw a baby steer wandering about a few days ago that liked to chase cars, must have been a "watch cow"? could have loaded that one into the jeep easily.

But, is he good looking enough for you to let him catch you?

Thanks for the laugh. As long as you're not a rattlesnake.
