Where’d you find this article or how did you come across it? I’ve been contacted and I’m on the fence due to the supportive housing

It’s not on the 126W official website. Their site said nothing about supportive housing. My log is 3xx

It's not on the 126W website but every article I've researched online about this building mentions 170 units.
Here's one https://newyorkyimby.com/2022/10/urb...manhattan.html and here's another https://www.harlemworldmagazine.com/...-mains-street/

The actual lottery that we applied to mentions 119 units.
https://www.126west126.com/

The supportive housing flyer mentions 50 units
https://www.nyfoundling.org/wp-conte...sing-Flyer.pdf

and I'm guessing one unit goes to the super. That's 170 units. My log is in the 4XX range. I haven't been contacted but I'm not a fan of paying that high rent in a supportive housing building that could potentially come with problems. Also, notice how on the advertisement for the lottery we applied to, there's no 30 ami studios or 1 bedrooms listed but on that supportive housing flyer they advertise for them and the income limits they mention are definitely 30 ami!

Thank you for the information. I was looking for the information and I think the same, paying that amount and and the area. It is not the best but a least that street is good.

You're welcome! Yeah I mean its a gamble. One would hope that having supportive housing in their building won't affect the quality of life but the people I know who have lived in this type of setup all say "never again!" But everyone's experience will be different and I hope this building isnt adversely affected by this. Good luck with your processing and keep us posted!

well when you put it that way it makes a lot of sense. I have zero interest in living in a supportive housing building. I've done it before, never again. Its a nightmare. I've experience ppl smoking in the hallways, the garbage room always disgusting and filthy. Sketchy ppl. Its a no for me
