If you’re working with reside and no response; are you allowed to reach out to housing connect direct or the building?

Yes you can call HPD on them I’ve done it before. I’m currently in process with them and my marketing agent is moving very quickly. my file is about to be sent to HPD I’m filling out some information currently. I’m just having a little discussion on do I want them doing a credit check or give them my 12 monthly rent statements

Thank you! And I’m glad they’re moving fast for you.

Thought I would chime in. I haven’t had the worst experience with them. I think it depends on the agent and also the client and how smoothly the process is flowing. It did so happen that an apt I viewed ended up being “unavailable”. Yet when contacted regarding this, the agent revealed there were other options in the building that were not shown at the viewing, and would I like to apply. I am curious how often that happens? Outside of that letdown, I thought Reside did an acceptable job especially considering the number of applicants and paperwork. Such an insane process.

Yeah this time the process for me is actually going pretty smoothly and fast the only thing about it is I got called back in December and got a email a few weeks ago for documents ans been giving them documents every week since the last week of February. They even assigned me a unit which is crazy I never had that happen to me before! But we will see hopes and prayers!!!

This...is not how the system is supposed to work.

They said I could be assigned a different unit on the TIC. Apply was not the right word there, thank you.

If I didn’t need apt approval very soon I would drag reside and get in contact with New York 1 have them do a story on them.
