My husband and I are coming to NYC Mar 18-21 for the NYC Half Marathon. We're staying in the upper east side at a B&B, fairly near to the start line (at least, to last year's start line since this year's has not yet been announced). This is the 3rd time we've ever been to NYC (but the last two were with other people, or we did not get out & about much). We are flying into LaGuardia and I have a question I'm hoping you guys can help me out with:
I've looked at the MTA website for public transportation and it looks like you catch a bus from LaGuardia to get to Manhattan but I am confused where it lets you off to get on the subway. We're staying at the Franklin on 164 East 87th Street. It looks like there is a subway stop within a block of the hotel. We're not in any rush since we're getting in early on Friday so time is not an issue... but I certainly don't want to get completely lost on our 1st day there. How pricey would a cab be?
