Anyone watch the first 2 episodes of the new show "Mob Wives " ? Do you think it helps or hurts Staten Island's image ?

I happen to like Staten Island so this isn't meant to be a SI bashing thread.Just curious what others who have seen the show think, especially if they live on SI.

Saw the show...what I expected. I really have nothing nice to say so I will leave it at that.

I just wish they would stop making TV shows about "italians". It was once a nice nationality. It no longer is.

Default Pizza Pizza

So many TV shows ruined it for her. She was brought up on Little Ceasers Pizza Pizza in palookaville. It was so cute and tasty then.

What can the poor TV people do? Italian-Americans are the only group that the TV people have impunity to lampoon. They are making the most out of what they have. They surely can't make fun of other groups- that would be politically incorrect.

Because all the things that are considered "authentic Italian" are really "Americanized Italian" which is fine. But all that Sunday dinner BS isn't how "real" italian people live in Italy. It's fine. My parents are both first generation americans and we life like any other normal american family. Also, people from Northern Italy are blonde so whats all this tanning BS.

Also Guido? WTF is that?

Ugh I could go on forever.

Not for nothing but shows like Mob Wives and Jersey Shore don't bother me at all. I'm Italian and I am not offended by those shows.
