I hope it gets free and swims out into the ocean. The Gowanus canal, OMG, the poor fish.
But this goes to show you, any swimming thing in the ocean can swim anywhere at anytime, there are no traffic lights or stops signs at the bottom of the ocean.
I don't understand why they couldn't fish the little guy out the canal? I know they said they wanted to wait for high tide to see if he'd swim out on it's own but even the expert there said he was really struggling and taking a lot of breaths. Couldn't they have taken it somewhere to get it stronger then release it?
why didn't the zoo or aquarium try to save the little guy?
