They might. I called a little less than 2 weeks after I took medical and they had my results. Then again they didnt have a bunch of people that already passed theirs getting ready for final.

going for medical tomorrow. do they give you all the different Quest lab locations? and in what order to you guys recommend getting all this stuff done? I hope to get it all done in 1 day. can't afford to be takin' any more time off at work. this is gettin a little ridiculous, especally the fact that they give hardly no notice.

Yeah you can do it one day. I went and did the hearing first. Then I went down to the Imaging place and checked in. They are always busy, so while I was waiting I went over to qwest which was a couple of blocks away and got that done. Then I went back and did my x-rays. I was done by like 3. The worst part is at DSNY. Thats what took the longest.

I have a quick question. Is the starting salary still 26,000 or is that what you get in the academy and then it goes to 30,000? Also what is top pay, is it still 57,392. I may have a choice to make as I also have a good chance of being called for TBTA Officer. It will be 20 and out in either job for me because of my age. They are 36,900 to start and 52,000 top pay and working on a new contract. I am pretty sure that there is more OT available at TBTA. Anyone have any insight that could help?

I heard today that we should begin getting phone calls this Thursday and Friday, and into next week for the guys that are going to be making the July 7th class. We will have to report one day next week, and then again on the date of hire(July 7th, 2008).

I know there has been alot of rumors out there, but this information came from an insider at HR. Lets hope my source is right..........we will soon find out.

Default Training

This question is directed to the guys here that are already On The Job.

If and when they decide to put the next class in for training - What is the training like? I have heard it is about a month but what type of training do we receive during that month? i.e. - Learn how to operate a collection truck, etc.

Thanks in advance.

-Mike

Well that sounds good to me. I hope you're right though. I am going to Florida in two weeks to see my Father who is very sick. I figured once I get on I wont be able to go see him for a while. I hope I can go in next week and come back on July 7th. like you said. We'll see.....
