Hello everyone I was hoping y'all can help me. I got a letter for an interview. I just wanted to know what to expect. This is my first time going on an apartment interview.
They should not call it an interview since you only go there to hand in your documents and money order. it all takes less than 10 mins. i spent more time waiting to hand in my documents than i did with the caseworker.
For those that have asked this is HDC information. (212) 227-5500 and ask to speak to someone in the Compliance Unit or e-mail your concern to Hdccompliance@nychdc.com. I also went in for an "interview" and waited like an hour just to hand in paperwork no questions asked. they sent me a denial letter because my income currently is $200 over income limit which comes out to $8 per paycheck throughout the year. smh.
I appealed and was put back into the running for an apartment. From the time I appealed to the time they let me know my appeal was granted was about a month.
I just updated my info with CC and still i'm waiting to hear back from them which they told me would take a about another month last week.
Thank you for replying back. i have been waiting now for over a month. Guess that means im out. Best of luck to you
MandeeMandy thanks for the contact information ^_^
LeauVixen thanks for the information. Is there anyone on the forum with CBP
on the back up list?
I have the 5% municipal employees' preferences but was told after the
interview on August 14th that I was a backup. They didn't take the money
order and couldn't tell me my place on the list.
Cityworker13 I copied the preferences below:
99 units- I have no idea if they round up or down. The math would be so much
easier if it was exactly 100 apartments
Applicants with mobility impairments (5%) 4.95 apartments
- Applicants with visual or hearing impairments (2%) 1.98 apartments
- Residents of Manhattan Community District 10 (50%) 49.5 apartments are
reserved for CBP
- Municipal employees (5%) 4.95 apartments
-Average Joe or Jane has only 37.62 apartments
