I find Fairway to be better suited overall to my shopping habits. Honestly I couldn't care less for the 10 different varieties of organic grains or multiple brands of organic tofu they stock at Wholefoods. Organic vegs are generally cheaper at Fairway plus they have a large selection of non-organic vegs as well. Though Wholefoods does have a better selection of organic meats if anyone wants to pay $10 per pound for Chicken breast. There's already a number of Fairways around the city.
Sounds like this poster has never been to Forest Hills, Whitestone, College Point, Astoria, Maspeth, Belle Harbor, Forest Hills Gardens, Howard Beach, etc. .

You can find isolated pockets here and there, but my overall point stands. And of those remaining, many of them are civil service type employees as I previously pointed out (cops, FDNY, and other city agencies).
Who wants a whole foods in Queens or any outerboro? I love those buffet tables they have. I would eat every meal from there, everyday until I die. The Whole Foods on Long Island does not have those buffet tables. And there is only one in Long Island, how is that?
Who else hear loves those buffet tables they have? Are there other shops that have anything in comparison?

...Middle Village, Glendale, Kew Garden Hills, Hillcrest, Oakland Gardens, and Bellerose.

It is rumored to be at the new Riverdale Crossing Development in Kingsbridge, where the old Stella D'Oro factory was. It is not 100% confirmed but I am hoping!
I have never been to Whole Foods, however there is a Trader Joes close to me.

Those type of communities do not make up the bulk of the population in Queens. Overcrowded immigrant communities like Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Flushing, Woodside, Corona, Jamaica etc. do.
White native New Yorker especially those from the from the outer borough's are culturally different than suburban whites who move to NYC after college. i highly doubt Vinny, Tony, Anthony and Joey would rather shop at Keyfood or fine fare than shop at over priced, feel good about myself, Im better than you Whole Foods.
You don't know what you are talking about so bite your lip.
Many Staten Islanders of all backgrounds hoped a Whole Foods would open up at any of the vacant supermarket sites, in particular the former Waldbaum's on Manor Road. The Rock did get a Trader's Joes, and last time one was there saw plenty of Italian-Americans.
Furthermore Staten Islanders including Italians look for the same things as anyone else when they grocery shop; wholesomeness, freshness, good variety, clean and neat surroundings, diverse selection, etc...What many on the Rock do is drive over to NJ (yeah Wegman's) because the offerings on SI are pretty pathetic.

Bro that is ridiculous my area is working class and predominantly white. Do Polish and Irish people not classify as white now?
