Anyone else want to continue discussing the thread topic? I sure do! And check out the Solara link I put in my earlier comment...it is exactly the type of housing that is ideal on a cop's salary...and it is better than 90% of all housing in NYC, and better than 100% of housing in NYC at this price!!!

Affordable housing, on a cop's salary, is clearly still available....you can choose to complain or take action.

Guywithacause,

You can't compare living in the Bronx in your mom's house, not raising a family and just working to support yourself to someone living on Long Island, having to pay BIG money for a house (not by choice, that's just the way it is) and raising a family.

Lol....back to the mom's house again! Reading is fundamental! What's the moral of the story? Live within your means, and live where/how you can afford!

Cops make more than the average household, and earn smack in the middle of all NYers after 5 years. So please tell me where the problem is here?

So the moral of the story, folks, is to "buy" mommy's house. If it's living within your means, by all means, toss out mom and trash people who live in the real world.

All of this from a real estate analyst.

Lol...same old personal attacks....I guess nobody wants to discuss the thread. It should be closed then. Feel free to open a new thread about me!

Wow, people respond in the same manner in which one person has addressed others, and now the thread should be closed!

Should have been closed long ago. One person in particular monopolized this thread and took any wholesome debate out of it a month ago, making it a soapbox for his awesome financial advise.

BTW, is anyone's mother on the way out, so I can buy her home and be fiscally responsible?
