Don't listen to the naysayers. I did the Times Square thing a few years ago. I got there at 6am and stood there til midnight, got on TV and everything. I didn't use the bathroom, drink, or eat. So much adrenaline going through you. It was totally worth it.

Most people don't relish the thought of catching hypothermia with a side of frost bite.

You're used to not being able to drink water or use the bathroom? What kind of teacher are you? My fiance is a teacher as well, and she can drink or use the bathroom anytime she wants...

Woo! Stand out in the cold for 18+ hours without using the bathroom, consuming any liquids, or having anything to eat! Best day ever!

She's lucky. I can drink all day but I can only use the bathroom when I don't have students. Typically that's about 20 minutes a day, during lunch, if I'm lucky.

I'm planning on still being asleep at 6am but thanks for the positivity!
