Don't listen to the naysayers. I did the Times Square thing a few years ago. I got there at 6am and stood there til midnight, got on TV and everything. I didn't use the bathroom, drink, or eat. So much adrenaline going through you. It was totally worth it.
You're used to not being able to drink water or use the bathroom? What kind of teacher are you? My fiance is a teacher as well, and she can drink or use the bathroom anytime she wants...

Woo! Stand out in the cold for 18+ hours without using the bathroom, consuming any liquids, or having anything to eat! Best day ever!

She's lucky. I can drink all day but I can only use the bathroom when I don't have students. Typically that's about 20 minutes a day, during lunch, if I'm lucky.
