I went back and read it. Nobody said it was as bad as the Bronx. One person said it was bad and another said it was the pits (which in certain parts is true). Nobody ever said it was as bad as the south Bronx. Maybe you can copy and paste the exact post for me in case I missed it?

South Jamaica is the most inconvenient part of NYC. Very little Subway stations, very far commute. Noisy as hell with airplanes going in/out of the area and very little urbanites dwell in those area.

You not 100% correct , it's not as bad like you put it
Re-read the posts....the person said they lived in southside for 20 years, then they moved away. You live in Rochdale, and thats great. Rochdale is not bad at all, its pretty decent.
But Rochdale is not South Jamaica.
South Jamaica is South Road, Foch Boulevard, Sutphin Boulevard, 109 Avenue, Merrick Boulevard, 40 Projects, Guy Brew, maybe Bricktown, you get the picture now? Majority of South Jamaica is just not a good area.
He/She lives in Rochdale? Lmfao. The way they were going on about "Jamaica" I thought they lived somewhere nice, Rochdale in reality is less than decent, it definitely has its wild moments just like the rest of the area. Some residents like to pretend that it's the be all end all though.

Agreed.
I went into one of the Rochdale Village towers one time, the hallway smelled like sewage. It didn't seem like a nice place to live at all. Granted, this was like 8 years ago.

Stop with your nonsense , first rochdale has its own security , its own power plant that means if there is blackout in the city rochdale will still have electricity, for example when hurricane cindy happened , a lot of parts of the city didn't have electricity and rochdale wasn't affected at all. Also rochdale has 2 malls you can find almost everything you want , finally it is affordable and the apartments look GREAT . I live there and because of the affordability I am able to make it to the upper middle class , I have no debts , I have savings and my apartment here in rochdale is well furnish . you are not a fan of Jamaica so you would not have anything good to say about it at all . I am sure you would say the same for Jamaica Estates which is one of the most beautiful area of NYC and has million dollars homes in it . Rochdale is a GOOD AREA , so get over yourself
