3000 dollars for that place? It better come with a doorman and other amenities for such a small place.

I absolutely could do it, and even with a partner, but for an affordable price.

Sorry if it doesn't meet with your requirements. It was the smallest I could find in Huntsville, AL.
450 a month.

I know this isn't NYC related a whole lot but I saw a micro apartment in Portland, OR at 150 square feet going for 900/month in a desirable area. That's just too small. I'm a young single person and I could probably do within the 200-300 square foot range as long as there can be some sort of alcove to fit the bed that's further away from the common area so IMO it would depend on the layout. If I had a partner there needs to be at least a one bedroom with full walls and a door for privacy at least for me to consider it.

I start gasping for air merely looking at the PICTURES of these coffins.

They do make me feel better about my lousy 650 square feet.

Hell to the no!
There are couples down here in Philadelphia.
They have doorman, pool and gym. All the amenities but space.
Can't do. Sorry!
That will drive me insane.

Developers are creating micro apartments so that people can get used to them. Everyone wants to move here, so they'll take whatever:
