To the OP. I never lived there but attended ST Lukes Episcopal near you. Go there for worship one Sunday if you are inclined. My wife attended City College as a teenager and one Sunday while showing our daughter where mommy went to school we stopped in one Sunday and were welcomed in by a small congregation.

Everything north on 155th is Washington heights. (Trinity Cemetery works as geographical cutting point.)

Sugar hill is a historic district that is effectively inside Hamilton heights.
Sugar Hills do not extend pass Amsterdam to the west, the district is very small only 10 blocks north to south and basically the 2 blocks east and west of Convent.
Even so the Columbia development from 125 to 134th Street has huge ripple affects on Hamilton Heights. Manhattanville's ugliness helped depress real estate further North. The fact Columbia is rapidly developing the area realtors were able to use this to market Hamilton Heights. Due to the University expansion there was better policing, even in the projects (2014 there was a huge raid in the projects).

Even in Northern Hamilton Heights, closeness to Columbia is being used as real estate marketing.

Yes he was living alone...pardon the resurrection of an old post but many religions use resurrection as their raison d'etre.
