Do yourself a favor. Don't use a phone to record people. Instead go over to B & H store in midtown, tell them what you want, and they will walk you through.

No, I have a higher end Samsung Galaxy phone. I have had children of neighbors who run up and down the wooden covered stairs next door - ALL damn day long. It sounds like a damn train all damn day long. Up and down. Up and down... Hour after hour. It sounds like that is all they are doing, all day long...

I tried to make a sound recording (of that noise) on my phone as well, about 2 years ago (when the neighbors were there - now it is empty).

The phone microphones are designed more to catch voices (people speaking). I could not get a decent recording of that noise from the stairs either... Not on my phone...

The original poster said he already TRIED to record his sound using his cell phone (in his original post). So, your suggestion to use his cell phone shows you did not read his post...

You are correct. Phones don't do justice regarding recording the actually noise.

YET! When I picked up the body cam police footage, a officer tells her if she gets video & audio recordings of me (just like I gave them) they will take action against me, and not her. Buy a home security system. They have better available mics. But if you are male, they wont listen to you. Especially if your claim is against a older female.
Why is it that it's almost always new arrivals who pointlessly re-start a thread from years ago, and then disappear?

Tape recorder?

Does anyone even have one of those anymore?
