My son is currently receiving speech and ABA therapy via EI.
He will turn three soon.
We decided to have him evaluated for CPSE.
The ABA educator is currently pushing hard for him to go to a CPSE school.
Mainly I want to know: Is there motivation for the ABA therapist to have child enlisted in one of these schools? An ulterior motive? Financial maybe?
Also does anyone have any experience with CPSE in the Bronx? I live in Riverdale, Bronx. Seems like bad idea to bus a three year old with communication problems to a facility somewhere in the Bronx or NYC for that matter.
Why does the ABA educator want him to go to a CPSE school? What are your sons needs? After the evaluation, you all as a team will come to the best choice as to what services/supports would best for your son. I don't have experience with CPSE not sure how it is in the bronx. I did post a link that I hope can be helpful to you.
