The sky was lit up with with fireworks citywide Wednesday night but in Brooklyn, some residents took it upon themselves to also light up the streets.
A video taken by Instagram user @WhatIsNewYork shows a woman walking around with a live firework in hand near Nostrand Avenue and St. Johns Place in Crown Heights.
The fireworks hit signs and a storefront - some even exploded inches away from moving cars.
Pedestrians in the line of fire ran away or into a nearby bodega.
The NYPD says officers at the 77th precinct are investigating the incident.

What an animal! Causing such danger to people in the vicinity. That is aggressive, antisocial behavior. Hope they catch her and give her 20 years in prison.
It is some updated version of a Roman Candle. Been around forever.
Not suggesting what she did was right. Get hit by one of those things you might get damaged. But it has occurred for decades if not centuries. I think there are videos of crowds warring with them.

They were shooting these off in my neighborhood too. Its a all race issue.
