No one is against immigrants. Stop listening to the media or going on those white nationalist sites.
What normal people are against is undocumented people, simply because
1. By coming here illegally, they have broken the law
2. No one knows if they have a prior criminal history or not (as they have no paperwork nor have they been investigated properly by law enforcement)
3. There are documented immigrants ahead online yet undocumented folks get to skip everyone else who have been waiting - in some cases for decades to enter the country the right way.
Also, asylum seekers should enter through the regular port of entry - not through some coyote, boat or whatever.
