The lines are STILL crazy
I want to try one out of curiosity, but I'm going to wait until the lines die out
That's good to hear as I invested $10,000 in Popeyes' parent company last month in anticipation that the demand for the chicken sandwich would continue to boost the chain's bottom line.

Probably a good decision. The lines are just as long as the first time
Obviously this won't last forever, but I do think that Popeye's overall popularity will continue
Actually Kennedy fried chicken has my stamp of approval. If you are going to eat backwater american fast food let's make it as dirty, nasty scandalous and outside the boundaries of what is acceptable as possible. It should be salty, fatty loaded with MSG, flavored with Chinese hot sauce packets and the venue should offer compromised physical safety.
There should be nothing pleasant or normal about the experience, it should be memorably ratchet.

If you're in nyc, there is no reason to eat fast food chains. Kennedy's is acceptable, however.
When Popeyes opened in our small town there were massive lines for several weeks. Then, as people realized the relative expense of the food, tired of dealing with over stressed and rude employees, and realized that the quality of the food was suspect the crowds evaporated.
Now there are never lines and seldom cars in the drive thru. Looks a little dead and about the same as other fast food places in the area.
Expect the popularity will fade up there fairly quickly, too.
