This is horrible. Not to blame the victim but in NYC, I walk and drive defensively. Before I cross some streets, I make sure the driver makes eye contact with me.

My father taught me this same thing. He also said to look at the eyes to see if the driver looks crazed or inattentive as he wouldn't cross in front of such people/circumstances.

Still wondering if this is a height thing. Big SUV drivers stop for me and wave and I'm only 6'0.

My grandfather was 6'4 and never had any close calls with cars as a pedestrian.

On another note, it is ironic they mentioned the driver of the Black SUV in the video was 62. So do you have a combination of short drivers in big vehicles and a shorter pedestrian more likely to get hit?

Same thing happened to me with the first car once in Queens, but I was just nudged and didn't fall down. The driver kept going and I chased him down and made him roll down the window and laid into him

It was an old guy and had no idea what was going on, said he never saw me it's dark yada yada

I get that it can be dark but drivers are always responsible for their vehicle

According to this article today, the man is alive. If that’s true, it is remarkable.

I approached this without the cloud of emotion and believe that
this was not an accident. This was intentional. This was attempted homicide.

and it always goes back to bad blood, money, drugs, or lovers triangle.

Review the video over and over and you will eventually begin to understand.

If you still are not convinced...........

None of the drivers stopped to give assistance or call police.
Everybody else stopped .............

anybody who says that is just not believing what they are seeing because it's almost unbelievable but it really does happen like that

they don't show crime scene photos on the news, people never see the gory details
