I know that many NYC intersections now have the walk signal start a few seconds earlier than the green light for vehicles to give pedestrians the head start. Not sure if this was used here and whether the stats show it works or not.

For some reason Cooper and Cypress Avenue was always a very busy intersection. Probably the busiest intersection in Ridgewood that isnt Myrtle, Fresh Pond or Metropolitan. I don't think theres dedicated left turn lights at that intersection.

Hate the delayed greens, and I don't think it would have helped this guy

As a pedestrian, I never liked having anxious drivers waiting on you walking across a street. I always wave to let them go first. But that is me. Most people get off on the ego trip on needing to be yielded to though.

It does look real but for some reason it didn’t make the Citizen App which usually has most serious accidents, nor did it make any YouTube channels of serious accidents (except days later when the twitter video surfaced).
