Lmao. Car prices? Car prices are not factored in the same as rent prices lmao.

But when I go out of town, I rarely mention that I'm from NYC.

Sometimes I even have said I'm from somewhere else, as I've noticed that people can become antagonistic when I've mentioned that I'm from here (in San Diego's PB area I had a guy try to start a fight while telling me "New York Sucks!").
Yea not me. And I would have gladly faced that guy lol

It's no longer a badge of honor to brag about being from there. People outside don't care like you all think they do. Hell in the army it was liable to get you jumped.
The fact that it’s liable to get me jumped means that nyc is indeed a badge of honor. Reread your sentence and think about what you just said lol.

It doesn't convey authority to say you're from NYC anywhere except IN NYC.

People don't care anymore.
Speak for yourself. You probably don’t look like what a New York is known for looking like. I was in Kentucky recently and was definitely shown love.

Then again I’m black. This is the city that started hip hop and still leads and starts the waves for hip hop fashion.

So idk what you look like but that might be the determining factor

A survey that spoke to how much people? Only unrealistic people use “surveys” to back up their unrealistic views and agendas.

For NYC lovers. Most normal people don't consider that a good thing. Once you're out, life changes.

Idk what type of New Yorkers you hang around the New Yorkers I know let it be known there weren’t getting jumped in the army and none never got touched.

When you are number one or have a badge of honor there is a class of people who will hate you and test you. New Yorkers being tested was happening in the bangle of honor days as well.

The fact that some weird guy from Kansas and another weird guy from Texas are making plans to “jump New Yorkers” let’s me know they have a insecurity chip on their shoulder lmao.
