If it's only happening with one facility, I am guessing there is some sort of tech issue going on. What happened when you called?

It’s gonna be an absolute mess with congestion tolls and mailing people late bills and surcharges. Count me out driving into nyc. People driving cabs and Ubers gonna get the bill incorrectly.

Let's try this one more time, yes? If he's being billed for late charges and he now owes money to the PA (pardon me for stating the MTA earlier), who's problem is this again?

If the OP's EZ-Pass account is on the up-and-up as he claims... it's the PA's. They're just trying to fob off their mistake on someone else.

You rather stand on your square than admit your wrong. Gotcha

I am fully convinced the whole cashless toll system is a huge scam. This is from the website.

"Tolls by Mail billing process
· Toll bills for passenger vehicles are issued to the registered vehicle owner once a month and include all toll transactions during the billing period.

· Customers must pay the toll bill on or before the due date.

· If a toll bill is not paid on time, it will be subject to a $5 late fee on the second toll bill. If the tolls owed remain unpaid after two toll bills are mailed, they will be subject to a violation fee of $50 for each unpaid toll. Please pay toll bills on time to avoid these fees.

· Persistent unpaid violations may result in civil penalties and/or vehicle registration suspension.

For information about the Tolls by Mail billing process for commercial vehicles, please visit www.tollsbymailny.com."

Say somebody who use to only pay cash, they pay and no bill to worry about. Now, if they go through these toll areas. If they mailed the toll bill late or wrong address. You can rack up a huge toll bill over time unknowingly. It's one more way for them to scam the people for more money when previously lots of people just pay cash and not have any issue or additional penalties.

In a transaction dispute, the party that wants the money from the party that has the money is the one that presently has the problem. Apply this fundamental tenant to the fact pattern at hand, and maybe you'll start to get it (though probably not).
