Very nice. I remember once W-Burg and Greenpoint got really expensive that people who started moving there in the early 2000s started moving to Ridgewood.
I always find it funny that these places and choices are decided by transplants and not actual long time NYers. I don’t really care what these choices are since they are usually the most overrated. Williamsburg is one of the worst areas to live even today. Traffic patterns there makes zero sense, limited subway lines. Same goes for Ridgewood. Not the best place, I can think of 10 better places easily but it’s best to keep transplants away from those cooler places anyways,
Yea, lots of young people moved to Ridgewood following the pricing out from Williamsburg and then large parts of Bushwick. I know people who basically jumped to Ridgewood earlier because property was *relatively* cheap there. We almost made the jump ourselves, but decided against it because we wanted walking commutes though that's a bit of a moot point with WFH.

Where in NYC do you live? It often seems like you have no idea what's going on in the neighborhoods you're talking about. I'm almost not sure who would really believe that you're an arbiter for what is or is not cool. Then again, same goes with voters in a Time Out mag survey, though I would *probably* trust that opinion over yours.
