For all those missing the T-Bone Diner as well as those missing all the former Kosher delis in the area, this looks to be the solution for your future taste bites!

Well Thank God for that! Good luck to the new owners of the diner/deli.

Although T-Bone Diner wasn't particularly special, I am more interested to see what deli fare they will offer as since Ben's deli closed, there aren't any other kosher delis in the immediate area.

As for Tower Diner, one can still order Tower Diner items from the nearby Diner Bar's "Tower Diner menu" as takeout. The owner of Diner Bar is the brother of the former owner of Tower Diner.

Tell that to the Greeks. They still dominate 24/7 diners.

I miss the building, the interior more than anything else about Tower diner. Oh well, even less reasons to visit queens
Bens closure was also a sad one. I used to love going there after work. Was easy to get to from the subway station.

This is their business. But I think this is one of those situations where these are family businesses, and the next generation isn't as interested as the previous generations were. So existing diners are closing faster then new ones are opening.

The Tower Diner bldg was a bank before it was a diner. Hence the building was originally built for a different usage and therefore Tower Diner didn't have a typical diner style building.

Ben's closure was sad. That is why I am wondering if the deli part of the potentially new T-Bone Diner will be a good replacement for Ben's.

Parking was hard by Bens. So if this opens up as a pastrami place I hope it does well. Subway is right there. Wonder home many of today's Forest Hills residents still enjoy a diner scene. I left a decade ago.
