We hear this talk about the migrants this the migrants that. But everyone even here in NYC knows why they don't want them around here. They neither look good or they are not educated.
I hate to say this, but let's be honest. No one, at least no hetero male would be complaining if the female migrants were highly attractive women in their 20s or early 30s from Ukraine, or had Spanish Soar opera looks from Colombia, or Brazil. Maybe obese women, hairy women, or haggard women would be outraged.
I will even take it a step further. If these migrants were all loaded up with Masters or Phds in critical hi-tech fields whether male or female, we also would be far more likely to accept them regardless of how they look. I hope so cause we need more smart people, not a boat load of illiterate Uber drivers that act like scumbags and protest a one seat rail line to JFK, La Guardia, or Newark Airport for their selfish interest.

Not 100% true, I know many Ukrainians in Brooklyn, Queens, and NJ. Sure, they will vote for a Giuliani type but they are not voting for some bible thumper anti-abortionist. Also, Ukrainians like many Europeans support mass transit expansion, so if a Democrat comes along says he is going to expand the subway, they are voting for that since they are used to superior transit systems like the Kyiv Metro. It's one of the reasons most Europeans aside form Ukrainians don't emigrate here anymore along with the the crimes/shootings not just in NYC but other cities in the USA.
As for not taking them in. Not many Syrians were taken in either during their Civil War. They ended up emigrating to other parts of Europe. Ukrainians were not taken in as much cause well lots of people in this country will say "it's Europe's problem, and we had enough saving them" versus these migrants are in your backyards. There are valid points for both sides on this.

The illegal migrants are the worst of the worst. They will re-establish their gangs in NYC and cause a massive crime wave they will cause. The NYC elites think they will be exempt from this crime wave because they are progressives, but they will be the target of it along with the rest of us. The progressive elites want the illegal criminal migrant influx because it's their dream to destabilize America.
I know two Turkish refugees who are here legally. Both very nice educated guys with nice families. Both own small businesses in SI and NJ. Just the kind of people the progressive elites hate. Ukrainian refugees would be a positive for NYC and the USA. But they have committed the crime of being white eastern Europeans.
Migrants from 1st world countries would not need any special services because they can easily find jobs or assimilate in many 1st world countries. 3rd world migrants and sold the belief that they're here to get free stuff and once that runs out they will find work.
