During the transit strike, I walked from Crecent and 30th Avenue in Astoria, down Crecent, across the 59th Street Bridge, down 2nd ave, across 57th street, down 7th ave, all the way to 14th street, left on 14th street, then I realized I forgot my work ID badge and had to walk all the way back home and repeat the process (jk).

East Harlem to Tribeca. Was meeting people for a barbecue, had time, and the weather was great. Saved $2.

I live on LI, so I'm sure this does not even compare to any of the previous threads... but I've walked from Battery Park to Penn Station! It was quite a walk for my friend and I, we loved it.

i lived in manhattan for 6 yrs. walked around quite a bit, but i still preferred the above ground public transportation that wasn't a bus

i take cabs in philly too. although many prefer hitting the pavement/subway there as well.

i enjoy walking around when i'm not in a rush, my farthest liesurely walk was probably leonard st to times square.

but when i need to get somewhere quick, my arms start flailing.
