Just wondering what people think,

Which NYC neighborhood do you think has the most Mafia presence. When i say Mafia i mean Italian, Jewish, Albanian, Polish, Chinese,Russian, etc.

I would have to say Bath Beach has alot of Russian Mafia type characters. Doesn't mean they are. Im just making assumptions.

Also I would vote Bensonhurst in that category as well and Bay Ridge for Italian.

Any thoughts?

Just wondering.

Yeah, i'm curious too. Where in Queens? I'm moving back there in about a month. I was a little kid when I lived in Middle Village, and about.com says that the mafia took care of the neighborhood in the 80s (when I was a kid) lol

The Mafia is a shadow of what it once was but there are still some throwbacks and folks who play the part. I think there is still some presence in Howard Beach and Middle Village. I'm sure the same goes for Bensonhurst & the surrounding neighborhoods, oh ... and Staten Island.

I remember those, THEY WERE GREAT!
The food, the fireworks I miss it
I still have my Thanks John Gotti baseball cap.
I remember Ridgewood and Middle Village in the 70's the Good fellas and corner men kept the place beautiful and the trouble makers out.
Those guys dare not allow what happened in Bushwick after the immigration act of 1965. Some are still around but retired.

Wat back a friends of mine dad who owned a restaurant got killed on Knickerbocker ave, he got shot as well but lived. I remember visiting him in Wyckoff Heights hospital. He had armed police outside his door. We all used to ride mini bikes and Honda 70's in Forest park.

Those were the days
