Check out the stats on CDC:

Of course Lyme Disease is everywhere, but it not nearly as prevalent as in New England (and parts of the Midwest).

Unhappy I work in a health clinic...........

Have never in my almost 20 years up here heard of anyone around here getting Lyme disease.......maybe closer to Lyme, Ct???????? (Where it was named?) The biggest thing I hate up here from around right before Mem Day to the first really hot spell is the black flies......They are non-existent in the city of Pburgh but when we lived outside the city, we actually thought one of our kids might have some sort of cancer because her lymph nodes were so swollen the first spring we were here. She came into the house (about 4) days earlier, and had blood dripping around her neck/hair.........I was not told about those at all. Freaked me out. They don't last that long, but are mean little suckers......She became extremely sensitive to them and her lymph glands were swollen for weeks........even under her arms.
