With a big smile on my face I'll say, "Give me your number." I haven't been turned down yet

I met my husband in college at a little daytime party in an apartment dorm.

Later that night my friend and I were walking towards the field for an outdoor concert and saw him wandering back the opposite direction. I hooked my arm in his and said "You're coming with us." He looked startled but happily obliged (very happily, as I later found out ).

I say get those phone numbers, ladies!

If I was single I would not some women having m
y phone # and calling me and bugging me ! ! !

Some women, I agree. Most should take the hint when you don't respond.

But if you're interested in this girl; you wouldn't want her contacting you?

Sounds like a recipe to remain single and celibate the rest of your life.

Whatever, just ask. It's not even necessarily going to be perceived as a romantic overture, I exchange phone numbers with people I meet all the time if i'm likely to see them again, just in case we ever have to work on something together or become friends and want to hang out. If I'm going to hit on a girl, I'm only going to be doing it by phone if I met them by chance and the phone is the only way I'll meet them again. Phone numbers are useful things to have!
