I hate Christmas. I hate phony people. I hate that it lasts several months. I am too poor to buy presents. I hate stores. Now that my mom moved away I can absolutely completely ignore it.

I am thankful for having plenty to eat and a roof over my head every day, I know it can end at any time.

Actually, I find the holidays a big pain it the butt.

Thanksgiving is a PITA because we have to work Friday, why the country did not make Thanksgiving on a Friday so all of us 9-5'ers could enjoy the day, I will never figure that one out.....

Christmas is too close to Thanksgiving, thus it makes us think that we only have a month to get ourselves together for Christmas. ugh, talk about rushing ones nerves...

I do not like getting presents, 99.9 % of the time. I hate what I get. Please do not buy me anything to decorate my apartment, you can bank on it, I will hate it. I don't like clutter or junk in the apartment, so if I don't use it, If I don't like it, I will chuck it, new or old. I don't care.

I don't do Kris Kringle in the office, I might as well take the 20 bucks and just throw it out, or give it to a homeless person...................

Please do not by me clothes, you don't know my taste, or my size....and I am not telling you either.

My sons have everything, and then some, they are a PITA to buy for....at least now they are old enough i can just write a check, and call it a day.

I see my friends and family all through the year, I do need to just wait till Christmas to see them

so yes, I check the box yes, I hate the holidays.

One of my favorite holiday movies, along with Christmas Vacation, Bad Santa & It's a Wonderful Life (more in common than most people think)! I haven't watched it since last Thanksgiving so the quotes may be off. Some of my favorites:

Car wash fight:

Adele: "Now get inside before we're on the news"

Henry: "Go back to your own Thanksgivings"

Adele to Claudia in the pantry:

I'm giving thanks that we don't have to go through this for another year. Except we do, because those b***ards went and put Christmas right in the middle, just to punish us.

The scene between Claudia & Joanne on the treadmill is another one.

Henry also adds....."I can't wait for god damned Christmas!"

I'm Jewish so I don't celebrate Christmas. I used to be able to tolerate it but the older I get, the more it annoys me. If it was just one day of the year I'd be completely fine with it, but it drags on for months!
