If you have such wonderful family members, you're lucky.
Well i could too a point. My bro has really helped me out in the past. He helped get me out of nasty San Bernardino,ca (Del Rosa area). Had i not moved here i doubt it if i would be alive today.

That's a great brother you have there
But you need to make sure you don't run him to the end of his tether.

I havent asked him for any help in years. I have been here now for nearly 11 yrs. My parents (father/stepmom) live nearby & i couldnt ask them for anything without getting a excuse. I just dont have anyone (family/friends) in ca that i could honestly depend on. Im pretty much on my own.
You misunderstood the topic. I wasnt asking for money. I was asking if times were tough could you depend on your family for help. I know alot of people are hurting now.
I could, but it would come with a price. They wouldn't be discreet about it. I'll pass.
Exactly what would happen with my family! I would rather not ask any of them for help as EVERYONE in my home town would know the whole story of why I needed help. Plus, my mother would over exagerate the truth and make it even worse! Thanks, but no thanks. I would rather depend on myself or my husband to get us out of any trouble, financial or other wise, than to call either one of our family. It's sad really, but very true.
