Hi everyone.
Yes, another person moving to Raleigh. I am hoping to get lots and lots of opinions.. here goes.
I have a High Scool freshman (currently) and a 5th grader. We will move over the summer, and want to buy a home right away. I have 2 HUGE requirements, GREAT schools and hopefully a commute of under 40 minutes to my husbands job in Goldsboro. I mean great schools because my son is considering IB. He would like to go to Duke and be a doctor.( You can hope!!) I',m guessing if we find a great HS , a great middle school will be nearby.
I'm guessing we need to look in Garner area, or other parts of southeast Raleigh. How far will this commute be? Where would you look?

You can go to mapquest and get the miles. I just did and it is about 47 miles or so, but an hour ride. I guess it would depend where in Garner you are.
