I moved to Charlotte NC after retiring from a state job a little early due to getting married in charlotte, I had been coming down for years and loved the mild weather, different places to eat and places to go too. I have lived in NYC a number of years, and definitely wouldn't go back to all of that hustle and bustle and expensive life style all around even if you make good money. You have to do your research on jobs, because there is a lot of competition for the really good jobs, and they want a lot out of you for a decent paying job. The traffic is hectic a lot of the times, so you have to get used to that, but overall I enjoy living here and have been here a little over a year now. After working several temp jobs and feeling a little frustrated , I finally was Blessed with a good job, not the pay I had where I came from but decent pay and a wonderful place to work that I love coming too. This income and retirement income and a low comfort of living makes our lives comfortable.
