The skyline is indeed very impressive for a city of Charlotte's size. I remember moving back to NC in 2009 after living in California for a while. I was surprised that NC even had a city that looked like this at the time.

Maybe in an undeveloped part of uptown. None of the current corridors will ever contain any significant retail. Most retail may be in SouthEnd. Maybe the pipe and foundry land .

They could redo the Epicenter and turn it into some sort of outdoor mall.

Well in uptown there's already a Whole Foods, a small HT, and a Publix is confirmed and should start construction this year I believe.
