Will only the people that actually voted (or requested an absentee ballet) in the first election be allowed to vote in the new one? If not, it seems ripe for a lawsuit, if you let others now vote.

Nope, anyone in district 9 will be able to vote. "Pastor" Harris pretty much had to call for a redo. After carrying on, as he has for months, his son, an assistant federal attorney in the eastern district of North Carolina stated that he told his parents to stay away from Dowless, and that Dowless was shady.

This was pretty thoroughly discussed on NC Spin and Front Row, and a couple of the right wing panelists on those shows said that Harris will be lucky if he isn't charged with something.

So when will Union County wise up to those that supported Harris and Dowless? Rushing, Helms, Tucker, Johnson...... and others with Dowless connections going back to at least 2016.

In this latest round of voter fraud and buying votes, we, the people, are only looking at the tip of the iceberg, while letting the bulk of the iceberg pass unnoticed beneath us.

It's so true... mind blown.

I almost don't know what to say - which is kind of a big deal for me. How have we arrived here? How has integrity been completely abandoned?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not completely naive. I know dirty politics is not a new game, but it just seems we are reaching a tipping point. Maybe I'm getting old?

Let me help you down the path to using a walker.

From your 20's to your late 40's you are too darned busy making a living to be concerned with politics on a day by day basis. You do what the rest of us did, vote in the national elections after listening to the talking heads on FOX, CNN and elsewhere. Vote in the local elections relying on friends that, in reality, knew less than you did. (see, I did learn math.. 0-0 is still 0.)

From your late 40's to your early 60's you are too darn busy trying to make up for lost time and rake some of that money you've been earning into a viable retirement strategy (or pile of leaves). Hence, you are beginning to take notice of how much money and effort is squandered in national politics, but you have only made a vague connection at the local level just yet.

From your 60's to your early 70's you are finished raking together that fortune you need to retire (read that as given up and decided to play your cards in SS, the housing market and 401Ks/IRAs) You finally begin to have the time to watch the local political scene...... OMG! What a mess has been accumulating at your feet while you have been looking upward. All this time, you have been fretting and dabbling in dimes, the local politicos have been dealing in dollars, millions....... mine and yours.

From your 70's onward, you are too old to make a difference. Most people pass you off as feeble and someone who mumbles in his/her oatmeal every morning. (Unless you own the Patriots.... then you are nabbed in a prostitution sting. The public perception changes slightly, you can find the zipper in your pants, but you still aren't capable of lacing your shoes without help)

Ah, the Lion King was correct...... the circle of life...... Hakuna Matata!!!!!!!!!!

He attributes his decision to his health. Balderdash. I think he saw the handwriting on the wall and didn't want the embarrassment of going down in flames.

Harris says he won't run again due to "health issues" (lol), endorses Union County Commissioner Stony Rushing:
