we are thinking about relocating this year to hudson nc? any news on jobs for secretarys or mental health adminsitrative assistants? also looking for a good area with alot of propery.... any one know how i can get demographics for 2005? all i find is for the last three years. nothing current
Hudson is located in Caldwell County (Lenoir is the largest city in the county). Unfortunately, it has the highest unemployment rate in the State, and highest high school drop-out rate. It is a county grounded economically in the furniture industry, and it has not been treated kindly by the out-sourcing of that industry. Should not be hard to find property you are looking for, but finding a good job may be more challenging. It is located in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains.
From what I have seen in Hudson there is not anything for jobs. However there is a HUGE mental institution in Morganton called Broughton ( not positive on the spelling) you may want to check out for employment. Looks like kindof a scary place though....Good Luck.
