Hudson is located in Caldwell County (Lenoir is the largest city in the county). Unfortunately, it has the highest unemployment rate in the State, and highest high school drop-out rate. It is a county grounded economically in the furniture industry, and it has not been treated kindly by the out-sourcing of that industry. Should not be hard to find property you are looking for, but finding a good job may be more challenging. It is located in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains.

Default Working in Hudson

From what I have seen in Hudson there is not anything for jobs. However there is a HUGE mental institution in Morganton called Broughton ( not positive on the spelling) you may want to check out for employment. Looks like kindof a scary place though....Good Luck.
