Default Looking in either Wayne and Pike cty

We are looking to relocate to either the Pike Cty or Wayne Cty area. Would like to stay close to the Rt 84 corridor. Looking to stay with in 1.5 hours of Bergen Cty NJ( Ffamily still resides there). How are taxes in both counties, which has better school system for young children?, how are the services in both areas (medical, restaurants, shopping, ect). Also where would yu get more bang for the buck.

Looking for at least a 4 bdr., 2.5 bath preferrably with finished basement.

Welcome! There are at least a handful of posts on this topic of Wayne/Pike. With all of the things you are looking for it's too close to call. People say Pike schools are better, but you'll probably get more bang for your buck in Wayne. Bigger things such as medical/restaurants will most likely be a trip out to the Scranton area unless you use Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. You have plenty of homework to do, good luck
