And that leaves 2 inclement days for the rest of the school year. I wonder how long they will last.

Reminds me of the hurricane day we had years ago, was that for Isabelle? You never know what to expect for "snow days". That's why I hate going so late in June.

Thank goodness my husband came home a little early, because I would have been throwing stuff if I'd had to figure out tomorrow without him. I HAVE to work tomorrow - so wishing for the days of the hardcore daycare that NEVER closed right now. I work hourly, so I unfortunately do NOT have the luxury of days off. And I was already out a week's worth of pay because of the move

I know, stop whining - people have actually died (So Sad!). Perspective...

Since I've seen nothing bad happening in western Loudoun, I'd be shocked if schools here are closed.

Oakton was a mess yesterday so I am not surprised they closed today. Are there really only 3 days for inclement weather? Seems like they always end up closing at least 4 times a year in the winter.

Only three but the next two are made up on teacher workdays, if they can. Then one doesn't have to be made up. Still given some of our winters, we have the potential of days tacked on in June, not fun for anyone.

Not surprised. I was still at school at 6:00 today when the intercom went off with a panicked "All janitors, report to entrance 5 immediately. Water is flooding classrooms"

Luckily my side of the building was okay when I left around 6:30, but ooooh boy, they were hurriedly moving computers and books to dry spaces and sandbagging doors as quickly as possible. Hopefully the damage isn't too bad.

Wow. We've had leaky roofs in the past. Hope all was well with that.
