Just heard that the HMS Bounty sank off Carolina...two crew missing.

I've seen her a number of times at tall ship events...sad.

I had my property completely regraded, removed all tall trees around the house and had many drains installed. My main sump pump is working now (I can't hear the backup one... yet) for the same reason you stated -- the neighborhood is fairly hilly and there is no way to redirect the water completely away from the house unless perhaps the entire neighborhood is regraded.

Think they will postpone trick or treating to Sat. maybe? That would be nice instead of having to deal w/cleanup, kids walking in dangerous situations, possibly there will be power outages, etc.

I think you were maybe in the eye? It was over Ocean City an hr. or so ago, it's supposed to get worse and it has picked up again here.
